We warmly invite you to visit us in person or join our online activities, as listed in the events section below.

The Christian Israelite Church commenced in Yorkshire, England, in 1822. An Australian branch was established in late 1839, and in 1853, the Sydney Church at 196 Campbell Street, Darlinghurst, was built. It has been in continuous use ever since.

Today, while many Members live remotely, the Church remains a missionary presence in the heart of Sydney. Though it may not be open every weekend, it continues to provide a place for fellowship where Members can gather. We look forward to the time when it will again host a larger, locally-based congregation.

Outdoor Christmas Brass Band Recital

Join us for our annual Christmas carol recital, performed by the Christian Israelite Church Brass Band at Oxford Square on Oxford Street, Darlinghurst.
After the performance, we invite you to a Fellowship Evening in the Church Hall. A wonderful opportunity to celebrate the season and enjoy the spirit of community.

Christmas Musical Praise Service

Join us for a special pre-Christmas Service featuring the singing of carols, musical performances, Bible readings, and a Christmas message. After the Service, we welcome you to stay for a shared lunch in the Church Hall to continue the fellowship and celebration.

Upcoming Services in the Church

Join us for worship at the Sydney Christian Israelite Church.

Services are held in the Church at 11:30 am on the second and fourth Sundays of each month.

We also offer an online Service every Sunday at 11:40 am, streamed from one of our Churches.

This Bible message explains the true meaning of ‘living water’ using Isaiah’s promise that God supplies all water for life, both outwardly and inwardly. Just as our bodies cannot survive without water, we cannot live spiritually without God’s Spirit. Jesus Christ revealed that He is the water of life and that those who receive this water inwardly — not only outwardly — are promised life of spirit, soul and body at His return.
